  • The destruction of the Taira clan.

  • The Kamakura Shogunate was established.

  • Minamoto no Yoritomo Shogun General.

  • Wada battle.
    Rebellion against the Kamakura Shogunate by Yoshimori Wada.

    There is a theory that "Yoshimori Wada's third son, Yoshihide Asahina, has routed from Taya cave."

  • The Kamakura Shogunate is destroyed.

  • (Folk)
    Due to the war in the area around Taya, remnants of the Shogunate and farmers took refuge in the Taya Cave, and it has been said that 13 commanders suicide in the satoyama of the Taya Cave. Even today, there is a stone monument on Mt. Taya, enshrining "Jusanzuka" (Thirteen Mounds).
