It has become clear that 'Taya Cave' is an integral part of the local environment, including the satochi, satoyama and groundwater.

If Taya Cave is to be preserved, this local environment must be protected.

Accordingly

We are considering how a sustainable and self-reliant future for 'urban rural areas' such as the Taya area, where Taya Cave is located, can be achieved in the face of a shrinking society with a declining birthrate, an ageing population and a declining population.

Regional Planning Studies

First of all, we did a design study of the Taya area.

This study was conducted in collaboration with an exercise class at Yokohama National University's Graduate School of Institute of Urban Innovation.

Sustainable Rregional Design

We propose a sustainable regional design for the future of peri-urban and rural areas, with consideration of the newly developed IC/Jct!

We have an unbuild policy as much as possible and we are looking for multi-generational communities in which any people want to live!

Regional Identities Survey

Since 2023, we are challenging surveys of the attractiveness characteristics from a sociological point of view of urban rural areas of Taya and from a geographical point of view of the Sakae Ward.

We started a collaboration with the Applied Landscape Ecology, Faculty of Science & Engineering, CHUO University. We are trying to collaborate with the human geography laboratory of one public university now.
